Amazon is Meeting with the ICT Department to Start Project in Bangladesh

Amazon is Coming to Bangladesh: The world’s largest e-commerce company Amazon is meeting with the ICT department of Bangladesh government to start its activities in Bangladesh.

The meeting will be held in the ICT department at 9 am on Wednesday. State Minister of Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak will be present in the meeting. Earlier, in a roundtable meeting on the future roadmap of the country’s e-commerce sector in September 2018, EM Solutions Architect and e-Commerce Team Lead of a2i (currently Rural E-Commerce and Head of Commercialization Team Lead) Rezwanul Huq Jami told that Amazon is coming to Bangladesh with 100 percent direct investment to start activities in Bangladesh.

That time they talked to the people of government who worked on the Digital Bangladesh project, they announce that they want to start the journey of Amazon in Bangladesh. They have said that they are not interested in buying or operating a company in Bangladesh like Alibaba. Amazon will start the journey as ‘Amazon Bangladesh’ with the approval of the Board of Investment of Amazon FDI. It is not clear how much the company’s investment will be at the beginning.
